Truly a global community, Augustana University is home to more than 200 international students. In addition, more than 50% of Augustana students 研究了 prior to graduation. Students at AU are supported by well-traveled faculty who bring a global perspective to their classrooms on campus as well.

As a one-stop shop for all things international, the International Programs Office (IPO) supports comprehensive internationalization at AU through international student recruitment, current international student advising and compliance, 研究了, customized programs, fundraising for international initiatives and fostering strategic partnerships abroad.

International experiences should be for everyone. Transformational Learning

Discomfort is where growth lies. By cultivating experiences beyond one’s comfort zone, while still safe and supported, individuals have transformative experiences that impact their ideas about themselves, the world and how they can impact the future.

Gilman Scholarship Provides Four Augustana Students Opportunity to Study Abroad in 2024

Susana Gebrekidan ‘26, 阿什利·格兰普雷24岁, Rachida Mahamed ‘25 and Alena Vishnevsky ‘26 are the 2023-24 recipients of the Gilman Scholarship — an award that allows students to study abroad who may not have been able to otherwise.

Jet-Setting and Carbon-Offsetting: Augustana Sending 155 Students Around the World for Second Carbon-Neutral January Interim

A total of 155 Augustana University students are studying away for January Interim (J-Term) 2024 — a 4-week session between semesters designed to be a time of curricular exploration and enrichment for students. This January, Augustana students, along with 17 faculty members, are traveling to 17 countries.
